New Office

Hi Guys,

Massive steps have been taken since I last posted on here, I've got all my equipment now except lights, which should arrive today with any luck!

Next Monday (18th Oct) I will be moving into SP/ARK in the Wolverhampton Science Park just outside town, which will give me good ground to visit clients etc.

It's a beautiful place to work and has great people working there and they seem really nice and helpful so check out the website and take a look for yourself.

Busy, busy, busy today and will be for the rest of the week. The Prince's Trust has helped me big time! not just with investment but allocating me a mentor who is a very nice and understanding person who has helped me out quite a bit from just our first meet! and also with some helpful tools that can get me on my way to run my business successfully.

A While...

Hey guys,

I haven't posted a blog in a while because i have been quite busy, I know, I know, excuses, excuses, I should be blogging (and tweeting) about what I'm getting up to because that's the point!!! and also to release info as and when I get it.

I'm sure by the time you read this you will know that the government are closing down the UK Film Council (stupid tories), which means we will have to work harder to get decent funding (not like we all haven't anyway) but it wasn't the only option for funding when I've seen amazing films full of action and effects that didn't have any budget whatsoever. So pull your finger out and make something amazing, other options are like indiegogo where you can pre-sell your film and give perks to people who contribute to your funds.

So lets getting filming!!!

N.M.G. Video Finished!!!

Hi Guys,

Great news the N.M.G. 'I Grind' music video is now finished!!!

I had a great time making it and editing it even though as always with a film production there were problems but only small ones, which didn't make a massive impact on the timescale even though there were some 'life' things that also got in the way.

The video will be uploaded this week so watch this space.

Screening of the 2 weeks 2 make it Birmingham Tonight!!!

Hey guys,

Tonight is the screening for the 2 weeks 2 make it competition in Birmingham.

Tonight is going to be great because I think it will be a great place to network and see the other entries in the competition and hopefully the video I had a privilege working on will WIN!!!

Here are a couple of pictures from the 8-Bit Ninjas video shoot, again it was a fun day and my sunburn is easing up :)

In the images above: the group shot is everybody who worked on the video (quite a lot of ZOMBIES!!!) and the other one is me making some fake blood mmmmmmmmm!!

2 Weeks 2 Make It Shoot!

Today was a great day, sun shining, big open space and ZOMBIES!! Also today was a first for me all though I use a camera, direct or edit, I did some make up, which was making people into zombies.

Also we made fake blood with some food ingredients, which looked and tasted great.

The shoot went well and finished before schedule.

The robot on set looked really cool aswell and will look great in the video.

The only downfall of today was that a few of us including me got sunburn and I'm paying for not using lotion now.

2 Weeks 2 Make It Shoot Today!

Today I'm helping a few of my colleagues in making a music video for the 2 weeks 2 make it competition.

The band are called 8-Bit Ninjas and they sound amazing and I can't wait for the shoot it's gonna rock!!!

Prince's Trust

Hi Guys,

I've just come off a really great course for young entrepreneurs, it's called the Enterprise Programme from The Prince's Trust.

It has been very insightful about starting and running a business with all the tools and advice and it was FREE!!! Now you can't argue with that!

The guys who run it are excellent with what they need to do and more, they made it a fun experience with group activities etc. Also the other people on the course were very friendly and have an array of business ideas one person wants to open his own dirt track, which is cool, so I'll to call him up in a few months if it's open and go down for a rally ;)

On the whole it has been a very productive week and very informative.

p.s. If any of you are thinking about starting a business I STRONGLY recommend this course.

N.M.G. shoot wrap!

Yesterday afternoon we wrapped on the N.M.G. shoot for 'I Grind'. It has been a great shoot even though we had some problems with locations in terms of finding them! The gang, actors and especially David (pictured) have been great to work with and very understanding to what we are doing with the video creatively.

Now it's time to get to one of my favourite parts of film-making, the editing process. So now I will be editing this for a couple of weeks and then present it to the gang and see what they think.

Second half of the N.M.G. shoot tomorrow!

Filming the second half of the N.M.G. music video shoot, then can get on with the full force of editing!
